Strut, Suspension, Assembly: Removal
WARNING:
Do not remove nut from strut rod while strut assembly is installed in vehicle or before strut assembly spring is compressed.
- Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the knuckle assembly. Refer to KNUCKLE, STEERING, REMOVAL .
- Lower vehicle enough to access upper strut mount to body bolts.
- On the left side strut, remove the body control module On the right side strut, remove the glove box assembly. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL . Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
- Remove the three (1) upper strut mount to body bolts.
- To disassemble strut assembly. Refer to STRUT, SUSPENSION, ASSEMBLY, DISASSEMBLY .
