Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s) (Refer to - ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/STANDARD PROCEDURE ).

  2. Remove the fasteners (1) from the driver side rear trim panel storage pocket.

  3. Remove the storage pocket and locate the Trailer Tow Module (TTM) in the access hole (1).

  4. Disconnect the TTM wire harness connector (1) and remove the TTM (2) from the mounting panel by carefully prying it away from the adhesive tape.
  5. Clean the adhesive from the TTM and mounting panel.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Install new adhesive mounting tape to the TTM. Verify Both surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and there are no oils on the mounting surface of the TTM or panel.
  2. Position the TTM in the vehicle and install to the panel. Press and hold firmly to bond the adhesive.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the TTM.
  4. Install the rear quarter panel trim and tighten the fasteners securely.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s) (Refer to - ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/STANDARD PROCEDURE ).
