Removal And Installation: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Remove the lower steering column pinch bolt (1).
- Remove the upper and lower steering column cover. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the seven electrical connectors.
- Remove the four steering column nuts (1).
- Remove the steering column assembly.
