Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
    NOTE:

    The front exhaust heat shield and fasteners can be removed without taking off the other body shields.

  2. Remove the exhaust pipe. Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the fasteners (1) and the front heat shield (2) from the floor pan.

  4. Remove the exhaust pipe. Refer to PIPE, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) and the middle heat shield (2) from the floor pan.

  6. Remove the muffler. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove the two rivets (2) from the support bracket.
  8. Remove the fasteners (1) and the rear exhaust heat shields (3).
