Stabilizer Bar, Front: Removal

NOTE:

Before proceeding. Refer to FRONT, WARNING .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove tire and wheel. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the battery tray. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, REMOVAL .

  4. On each end of the stabilizer bar, remove the nut (2) to the stabilizer bar link through the lower control arm stud.

  5. On each side of the stabilizer bar, remove the bolts (2) securing the stabilizer bar bushing retainers to the cross-member.
  6. Slowly rotate the stabilizer bar as necessary and remove it out through the passenger side wheel opening.
