Rear Suspension: Spring(S): Removal
NOTE:
Before proceeding. Refer to WARNING .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the wheel mounting bolts, then the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Position a transmission jack or equivalent under the center of the axle, raising it enough to support the axle.
- Remove the lower shock bolt and nut (2).
- Remove the nuts (2) and washers (3) securing the U-bolts (5) and spring plate (1) to the axle.
- Remove the front bolt (8) and nut (7) from the leaf spring.
- Remove the rear bolt (2) and nut (3) from the leaf spring.
- Remove the leaf spring (4) from the vehicle.
