Pulley, Power Steering Pump: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Inspect pulley. Replace if pulley is bent, cracked or loose.
    CAUTION:

    Do not hammer on power steering pump pulley or shaft to remove power steering pump pulley. Damage to pulley and power steering pump will occur.

  3. Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the three bolts (1) attaching the pulley to the power steering pump.
  5. Remove the pulley.
