Installation 3.0L Diesel Engine

  1. Position the power steering pressure hose in the vehicle.
  2. Install the power steering pressure hose routing bracket (1). Tighten the power steering pressure hose routing clamp bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Install the power steering pressure hose at the steering gear (1). Tighten the power steering pressure hose to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the power steering hose into the routing clip.
  5. Install the power steering pressure hose bolt (1) with new washers at the power steering pump. Tighten the power steering pressure hose bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  8. Check for leaks.
