Insulator, Engine Mount, Left: Installation
- If removed, Install the upper transmission mount bracket (3).NOTE:
Mopar® lock & seal adhesive must be used on mount fasteners to prevent vibration loosening.
CAUTION:Do not reuse fasteners. Reusing fasteners and not installing new fasteners tightened to the proper torque specifications may lead to catastrophic failure.
- Using NEW
bolts, hand start all five transmission bracket bolts, starting with the lower four (1) then the upper bolt (2).CAUTION:
Do not reuse fasteners. Reusing fasteners and not installing new fasteners tightened to the proper torque specifications may lead to catastrophic failure.
- Using four NEW
bolts, beginning with the two outer, tighten all four side bolts the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the upper trans bracket bolt (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the transmission mount (1) to the frame. Hand start the upper nuts and lower bolts.
- Tighten the bolts (3) and nuts (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Raise the engine enough to align the lower transmission bracket stud to the upper transmission mount. Tighten the nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the floor jack.
- If removed, install the belly pan.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
