Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

  1. Position the flexplate (3) onto the crankshaft.
  2. Install the spacer (2) and the bolts (1) hand tight.
  3. Using a criss-cross pattern, tighten the flexplate to crankshaft retaining bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
    CAUTION:

    Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  4. Install the transmission.
