Outlet, Power, Universal Serial Bus: Removal

NOTE:

Make sure to take the proper precautions to protect the floor console rear trim panel from cosmetic damage while performing this procedure.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

Remove the floor console rear trim panel (1) from the back of the floor console using Trim Stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent. Disconnect any necessary electrical connectors and place the trim panel on a workbench.

Remove the fasteners (1) securing the floor console rear duct (2) to the floor console rear trim panel.
NOTE:
If the foam seal on the console rear duct is deformed or damaged, the seal must be replaced.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the power USB outlet (2).

Release the power USB outlet retaining tabs (1) and remove the outlet from floor console rear trim panel (2).
