Section 7 (Cooling System): Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 5.7/6.4L

- Position the thermostat on the front cover with the vent at the 12 o'clock position.
- Install the thermostat housing (2) and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS GAS .
- Install the radiator hose on the thermostat housing.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the air cleaner body. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
