Pinion Housing Disassembly

Press the pinion gear/shaft (2) out of the housing. Use a suitable adapter (1) to protect end of the shaft.

Remove the pinion bearing (1).

Remove the pinion bearing spacer (1).

Using splitter (special tool #1130, Splitter, Bearing/Gear) or equivalent (2), press off the pinion head bearing (1).

Using a suitable punch, remove the pinion tail bearing cup (1).
