Instrument Panel Mounted: Removal

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove steering wheel closeout panel. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the KIN and bezel assembly. Refer to MODULE, KEYLESS IGNITION NODE (KIN), REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the shifter lever. Refer to LEVER, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL .
  6. Remove left lower close out panel
  7. Remove left lower floor duct.
  8. Remove knee bolster air bag. Refer to AIR BAG, KNEE BLOCKER, REMOVAL .
  9. Remove cluster (Refer to REMOVAL ).
  10. Remove Radio display (Refer to REMOVAL .
  11. Remove HVAC bezel
  12. Remove the Metal console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL .

  13. Remove two MPR cable fasteners (2)
  14. Remove mini console
  15. Disconnect the two connectors and remove the closeout panel
  16. Remove the two fasteners and position console trim aside.
  17. Remove the six fasteners on the center lower dash bezel
  18. Remove fastener and position temp fan to the side
  19. Remove the dash reinforcement fasteners
  20. Disconnect the electrical connector at the shifter.
  21. Disconnect the electrical retainers
  22. Remove the shifter fasteners
  23. Remove the shifter.
