Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Install the radiator fan shroud from the bottom of the vehicle.
  3. Place the radiator fan shroud into the radiator mounts (2) and engage the retainers (1).

  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Engage the transmission oil cooler line retainer (1) to the radiator fan shroud.
  6. Connect and lock the radiator cooling fan harness connector (4).
  7. Connect and lock the radiator cooling fan speed control module harness connector (3).
  8. Engage the wire harness retainer (2) to the fan shroud.

  9. Position the pressurized coolant bottle (1) onto the rubber grommet.
  10. Install the two bolts (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  11. Position the core support (4), while aligning the radiator to the bushings (1) and install the two lower bolts (3) hand tight.

  12. Install the bolts (1) to hold the front of the right and left load beams to the radiator support panel and tighten the bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  13. Tighten the two previously installed lower radiator core support bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  14. Install the right lower splash shield (1) with four bolts (3 and 4) and screw (2) tightened to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  15. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  16. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
