Cooling System: Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 3.6L

CAUTION:

The Thermostat and housing is serviced as an assembly. Do not remove the thermostat from the housing. Damage to the thermostat may occur.

Clean the mating areas of the coolant crossover and thermostat housing (1).
Install a NEW seal on to the thermostat housing.

Install the thermostat housing (1) on the coolant crossover and tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
Install upper radiator hose (2) onto the thermostat housing (1).
Fill cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

Install the air intake resonator assembly. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
Connect negative battery cable to battery.
Start and warm the engine and check for leaks.
