Charging (Service Information): Description

The charging system consists of:

• Generator
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) with Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controlled circuitry
• Ignition switch. Refer to the Ignition System service information.
• Battery. Refer to BATTERY .
• Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped)
• Voltmeter. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
• Wiring harness and connections. Refer to the Wiring service information.
• Accessory drive belt. Refer to COOLING .
