Instrument Panel
- Position the shifter assembly, install the three shifter assembly mounting bolts (1) accessible from under instrument panel and finger tighten.
- Install the remaining shifter assembly mounting bolts accessible through the bezel opening and tighten all shifter mounting bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the harness connector (2) to the shifter.
- Install the shifter cable to the shifter housing.
- Connect the shifter cable to the shifter (1).
- Connect the tow/ haul switch harness connector (1).
- Attach the shifter bezel to the instrument panel by snapping it in place.
- Install the knob (1) to the shift mechanism shaft. The shaft has a flat locating feature to aid in installation.
- Install the shifter knob retention clip (2) by pushing it in firmly until seated.
- Pull up on the shifter boot (3) until it snaps on to the base of the shifter knob (1).
- Install the cup holder support bracket (1).
- Install the center instrument panel cupholder assembly. Refer to CUPHOLDER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
- Reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery.
