Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation

CAUTION:

Use care when using force to merge the condensor to the radiator. Damage may occur to the clips on the radiator and the mounting tabs on the condensor.

  1. Position A/C condenser (2) onto the radiator (1). Carefully align the slots on the condenser to the retainers on the radiator. Gently squeeze together until the retainers snap into place.

  2. Install the bolt (2) that mounts the condenser (1) to the radiator and securely tighten the bolt.

  3. Slide radiator/condenser into position and seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators in the lower mounts (2).

  4. Install the trans cooler lines (2) to the A/C condenser (1).
  5. Align the radiator retainers to the core support radiator mounting tabs. Using pressure. Press the radiator into the core support.

  6. Install the A/C lines to the condenser (1). Tighten the nuts (2) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install the lower radiator hose at the radiator.
  8. Install the upper radiator hose.
  9. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  10. Charge the A/C system. Refer to PLUMBING, FRONT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  11. Install the air cleaner body. Refer to INSTALLATION
  12. Install the engine cover.

  13. Install the horn assembly (2) and securely tighten the bolt (1).
  14. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  15. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  16. Connect the negative battery cable.
