Pump, Water: Installation: 5.7L/6.4L
NOTE:
5.7L shown. in the illustration. 6.4L is similar.
- Clean the mating surfaces and install the water pump (3). Tighten the mounting bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS GAS
- Install the upper metal heater tube.
- Install the belt tensioner assembly (4). Refer to 5.7L/6.4L
- Install the idler pulley (5).
- Install the lower radiator hose.
- Install the serpentine belt. Refer to 5.7L/6.4L
- Install the resonator mounting bracket.
- Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1).
- Install the air intake assembly. For 5.7L Engines, Refer to INSTALLATION . For 6.4L Engines, Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Evacuate the air and refill the cooling system. Refer to COOLANT SYSTEM AIR EVACUATION
- Check the cooling system for leaks. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM LEAKS
