Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the lower steering column pinch bolt (1).
  4. Remove the upper and lower steering column cover. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Disconnect the seven electrical connectors.

  6. Remove the four steering column nuts (1).
  7. Remove the steering column assembly.
