Charging (Service Information): Description

The charging system consists of:

• Generator
• Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) with Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controlled circuitry
• Ignition switch (refer to IGNITION SYSTEM (SERVICE INFORMATION) )
• Battery (refer to BATTERY (SERVICE INFORMATION) )
• Inlet Air Temperature (calculated battery temperature) (If equipped)
• Voltmeter (refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (SERVICE INFORMATION) if equipped)
• Wiring harness and connections (refer to the appropriate Wiring information)
• Accessory drive belt (refer to COOLING SYSTEM )
