Charging System (Service Information): Generator: Installation: 3.6L

1. Position the generator (3) to the engine.
2. Install the upper and lower studs (2) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
3. Install the nut (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

4. Position the splash shield (2) to the generator.
5. Install the two nuts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

6. Install the B+ cable (3) and retainer (2) then tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
7. Install the generator field connector (1).
8. Raise vehicle.

9. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .

10. Install the cooling fan (1). Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .

11. Install the air cleaner body (1). Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
