Sensor, Crankshaft Position: Installation

CAUTION:

Before tightening the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) sensor mounting bolt, be sure the sensor is completely flush to the cylinder block. If the CKP sensor is not flush, damage to the sensor mounting tang may result.

  1. Inspect the O-ring seal (2) and replace if necessary.

  2. Install the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) sensor (4). Tighten bolt (3) to 11 N.m (97 in. lbs.).

  3. Connect the CKP wire harness connector (3).
  4. Install the generator. Refer to GENERATOR, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
