Section 21 (Front Axle): Removal: Removal

- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove both front half shafts. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the front axle disconnect assembly. Refer to DISCONNECT, FRONT AXLE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the front propeller shaft. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the Right Hand (RH) catalytic converter/exhaust pipe assembly. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL
.
- Separate the power steering return line (3) from the cradle by unfastening the clips (1).
- Remove the front axle housing support bracket (1).
- Remove the seven front axle housing-to-engine bolts. Remove the front axle assembly (1) from vehicle.
