Engine Cooling System: Engine: Thermostat: Removal

1 - THERMOSTAT HOUSING
2 - WATER PUMP
  1. Partially drain the cooling system below the thermostat level.
  2. Disconnect the throttle body air inlet hose, remove the air cleaner housing assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect upper radiator hose from thermostat housing.
  4. Remove the thermostat housing bolts in the reverse order of the torque sequence.
  5. Remove the thermostat housing.
  6. Remove the thermostat from housing and discard the thermostat housing gasket.
