Cooler, Power Steering: Installation

  1. If necessary, thread quick connect tube nuts (3, 4) into fluid ports of cooler and tighten tube nuts to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Position cooler (2) and install screws (1) fastening cooler in place and tighten screws to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Remove any caps on hose tubes and wipe ends clean.
  4. Slide hose tubes into quick-connect tube nuts (3, 4) in cooler. Make sure tubes are locked into tube nuts.
  5. Lower vehicle.
  6. Connect negative (-) cable to battery.
  7. Fill and bleed power steering system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  8. Check for leaks.
