Throttle Body: Removal

NOTE:

The left side throttle body is shown, the right side throttle body is removed the same way.

Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
CAUTION:
The throttle body electrical connector harness clip needs to be cut and replaced with a new one each time it needs to be removed from the throttle body. Failure to cut this clip and remove by any means of prying will cause the corner of the throttle body to break off.
Cut the throttle body electrical connector harness clip at location shown. Remove remaining clip from throttle body.

Disconnect the electronic throttle control electrical connector (2).
Remove the throttle body bolts (3) and throttle body (1) from the intake manifold.
