Injector(S), Fuel: Removal
WARNING:
The fuel system is under a constant pressure (even with the engine off). Before servicing any fuel system hoses, fittings or lines, the fuel system pressure must be released.
NOTE:
If replacing an individual injector, do not remove the fuel rail completely. The fuel rail can be loosened and position in order to service the injector without fully removing the fuel rail completely from the engine.
- Remove fuel rail from cylinder heads. Refer to RAIL, FUEL, REMOVAL .
- Remove fuel injector from fuel rail.
