6.2L Single Fan

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the Low Temperature Radiator (LTR) cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  3. Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (2).
  4. Remove the retaining bolts (1) from the cooling fan assembly.

  5. Remove the two push pins (1) from the lower radiator support to the LTR crossover tube.
  6. Disconnect the hose clamp and position the LTR crossover tube aside.

  7. Loosen, but do not remove the four lower radiator support bolts (1).
    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to completely remove the lower radiator support.

  8. Position the lower radiator support (2) slightly forward to gain additional clearance.

  9. Remove the power steering hose retainer (1) from the engine cradle (2) and position the power steering hose rearward for additional clearance.

  10. Lifting upward, disengage the cooling fan (1) from the lower shroud retainers (2).

  11. Pushing gently forward on the lower radiator support (2), remove the cooling fan (3) from the bottom of the vehicle.
