Pump, Water: Removal

1 - THERMOSTAT HOUSING
2 - WATER PUMP
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING COOLING SYSTEM  .
  2. Disconnect the throttle body air inlet hose, remove the air cleaner housing assembly. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the water pump attaching bolts in the reverse order of the torque sequence. Refer to PUMP, WATER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the water pump.
  6. Remove and discard the water pump gasket.
