Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: 2.4L/3.6L
CAUTION:
Use care when using force to merge the condenser to the radiator. Damage may occur to the clips on the radiator and the mounting tabs on the condenser.
- Position A/C condenser (2) onto the radiator (1). Carefully align the slots on the condenser to the retainers on the radiator. Gently squeeze together until the retainers snap into place.
- Install the bolt that mounts the condenser to the radiator and securely tighten the bolt.
- Slide radiator/condenser into position and seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators in the lower mounts (2).
- Install the trans cooler lines (2) to the A/C condenser (1).
- Align the radiator retainers to the core support radiator mounting tabs. Using pressure. Press the radiator into the core support.
- Install the A/C lines to the condenser. Tighten the nuts to 17 N.m (13 ft. lbs.).
- Install the lower radiator hose at the radiator.
- Install the upper radiator hose.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Charge the A/C system. Refer to PLUMBING, FRONT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the air cleaner body. For 2.4L, refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION . For 3.6L, refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover.
- Install the horn assembly (2) Tighten the bolt (1) to 8 N.m (70 in. lbs.).
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
