The block heater is operated by ordinary house current (110 Volt A.C.) through a power cord and connector located in the engine compartment. The heater is mounted in a bore in the engine block and held in place by a retaining clip. The 3.6L has an optional engine block heater (2) that is available with all models. The heater is equipped with a power cord. The heater warms the engine providing easier engine starting and faster warm-up in low temperatures. The heater is mounted in a core hole of the engine cylinder block.
