Radiator, Engine Cooling: Installation: Gas
- Be sure the air seal is in position before radiator is installed.
Slide radiator down into position. Seat the radiator with the rubber isolators into the mounting holes provided, with a 10 lbs. force.
- Engage the radiator retaining tabs.
- Position air conditioning condenser onto the radiator lower mounts and engage upper mounting tabs.

- Install the radiator upper (1) and lower (2) radiator hoses.
- Install the radiator fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .

- Install the screw (5) that secures the condenser taping block to the radiator.
- Remove the tape or plugs from the opened refrigerant line fittings and condenser ports.
- Lubricate new rubber O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil and install them and new gaskets onto the opened refrigerant line fittings. Use only the specified O-rings as they are made of a special material for the system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
- Connect the A/C discharge line (1) and the A/C liquid line (4) to the condenser tapping block.
- Install the nuts (3) that secure the A/C discharge and liquid lines to the condenser tapping block. Tighten the nuts to 23 N.m (17 ft. lbs.).
- Install the radiator upper crossmember support. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, INSTALLATION
.
- Connect the coolant recovery bottle. Refer to BOTTLE, COOLANT RECOVERY, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Charge the refrigerant system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE
