Section 719 (Engine Cooling System): Engine: Thermostat: Installation: 5.7/6.4L

- Position the thermostat on the front cover with the vent at the 12 o'clock position.
- Install the thermostat housing (2). Tighten the bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the radiator hose onto the thermostat housing.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION, 5.7L or BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION, 6.4L .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Start and warm the engine. Check for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
