Positive Battery

Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL .

Remove the battery cover (1).
Disconnect the negative and positive battery cables.

NOTE:
Driver's side shown in illustration, passenger side similar.
Remove the passenger side scuff plate. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, DOOR, REMOVAL .

Remove the passenger side cowl trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL .

Remove the glovebox. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .
Remove the glovebox liner.

Remove the retainer (1) from the positive battery cable junction block.
Push the positive battery cable (2) through the dash panel (3).

Remove the positive battery (1) cable from the vehicle (2).
