Diagnostic Test
- TEST FOR ANY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) PRESENT
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
- Try to operate the Driver Window up and down several times.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display any Power Window DTCs?
No
- Go to step 2
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
- WINDOW MUST DROP NOTE:
The door must be completely closed when starting this step.
- Sit in the driver seat and close the door.
- Lower the window part of the way down.
- Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Raise the window to the full up position.
- Open the door while observing the window.
Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened?
No
- Go to step 4
Yes
- Go to step 3
- WINDOW MUST RISE
- Close the door and observe the window.
Did the window rise to the full up position when the door was closed?
No
- Go to step 4
Yes
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Close the door and observe the window.
- DENORMALIZE ROUTINE
- With the scan tool in "Miscellaneous Functions", perform the "Denormalize Window Command".
- Sit in the driver seat and close the door.
- Lower the window part of the way down.
- Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
- Raise the window to the full up position.
- Open the door and then close the door while observing the window,
Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened and rise to the full up position when the door was closed?
No
- Replace the Driver Door Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Yes
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
