2.0L Diesel Engine
- Using a lint free towel, wipe clean the open power steering pressure hose end and the power steering pump port. Replace any used O-rings with new. Lubricate the O-ring with clean power steering fluid.
- Place the pump in mounting position. Install the rear mounting bolt (2) but do not tighten to specification.
- Install the two mounting bolts (1) through the pulley (2) openings. Tighten the front and rear mounting bolts to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Install the supply hose (2) at the pump (1) and secure the hose clamp.
- Install pressure line tube nut (3) to the pump (1) and tighten to 32 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
- Install the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, INSTALLATION .
- Install the charge air cooler tube (5) and connect to the cooler (2).
- Install the charge air cooler tube to the turbocharger flange (7). Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
- Install the support bolt (4) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 in. lbs.).
- Tighten the clamp (3) to secure the charge air cooler tube to the cooler (2).
CAUTION:
Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
NOTE:When installing accessory drive belt, be sure belt is routed around all accessories correctly.
- Install belt over all pulleys.
- Using a wrench, rotate the cam tensioner (5) until the locking pin can be removed from the tensioner (8).
- Check the belt for proper alignment.
- Install the lower belt splash shield (2).
- Install the inner fender splash shield (1).
- Install lower engine bellypan.
- Install front lower fascia closeout.
- Install the right front wheel.
- Lower vehicle.
- Install the pressure hose routing bracket bolts (1, 4) and tighten to 24 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Install the coolant hose (3), if removed.
- Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Charge refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, FRONT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Check for leaks.
- Install the engine appearance cover.
- Connect negative battery cable.
