9193-Missing/Implausible Bussed Country Code Message: Notes

When powered, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) performs internal circuit and Bus communication tests. Active DTC's will be set if the ORC identifies internal circuit problems, missing or invalid Bus messages. The repair of this fault condition does not involve any external circuitry and centers on verifying the integrity of the module's internal circuitry and software validity

1. When Monitored: 

   With the ignition ON, communication established with all modules, the ORC on board diagnostics continuously performs communication tests for valid messages transmitted between modules.

2. Set Condition: 

   This DTC will be set active if the ORC does not receive a valid Bus message containing the Country Code Bus message.

Always perform the *RESTRAINT SYSTEM PRE-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE before proceeding.
