For complete wiring diagrams refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) supplies power to and communicates continuously with each impact sensor via each sensor's signal circuit. The power supply also enables each sensor's self-diagnostic capabilities. When powered up, the ORC establishes communication with each sensor by sending and receiving acknowledgment messages. The repair of this fault condition centers on confirming sensor type and module programming.

  1. When Monitored:

When powered, the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) supplies power to and communicates continuously with each impact sensor via each sensor's signal circuit.

  2. Set Condition:

The ORC will set this DTC if the Right Side Impact Sensor 2 type does not match the ORC pre-programmed Right Sensor 2 type.

RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 2
OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER (ORC)

Always perform the *RESTRAINT SYSTEM PRE-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE before proceeding.
