Diagnostic Test

Check for any TSBs that may apply to this fault code.

Verify that the Powertrain Control Module is at the latest calibration level.

Check the Powertrain Control Module ground circuits with a test light connected to B+.

Check the Powertrain Control Module Fused B+ circuit with a test light connected to ground.

Check the Powertrain Control Module Main Relay circuits with a test light connected to ground.

Do the PCM power and ground circuits light the test light brightly. 

Yes 

1. Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module per Service Information.
2. Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

No 

1. Repair the circuit for an open or shorted condition.
2. Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
