2297-Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Performance: Notes

  1. When Monitored: 

    With the ignition on and battery voltage greater than 10 volts.

  2. Set Condition: 

    The PCM detects that the input voltage is not within a specified range based on operating conditions.

Possible Causes 
INTERMITTENT DTC
FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR WIRING AND CONNECTORS
5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor SIGNAL CIRCUIT
5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
5 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO THE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN OR HIGH RESISTANCE
FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
