TRAY, Battery: Installation: Installation

  1. Clean and inspect the battery tray (1). See Electrical - Engine Systems/Battery System - Cleaning .
  2. Position the battery tray (1) into the vehicle.
  3. Install and tighten the lower bolts (2) that secure the battery tray (1). Tighten the screws to 12.4 N.m (110 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to Body/Exterior/SHIELD, Splash - Description
  5. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tires and Wheels/Wheels - Standard Procedure .
  6. Install and tighten upper bolts that secure the battery tray to fender frame. Tighten the screws to 12.4 N.m (110 in. lbs.).
  7. Install the battery onto the battery tray. See Electrical - Engine Systems/Battery System/BATTERY - Installation .
