Fuel Injector: Removal

WARNING: Release fuel system pressure before servicing fuel system components. Service vehicles in well ventilated areas and avoid ignition sources. Never smoke while servicing the vehicle. This may result in personal injury or death.

Release the fuel pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE PROCEDURE .
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.

Remove the fuel line from the fuel rail.

Remove wire harness from fuel rail mounting studs.

Remove the 2 bolts to the fuel rail at the lower manifold.

Remove the fuel rail.

Remove clip holding fuel injector to fuel rail.

Remove fuel injector clip and fuel injector from fuel rail.
