Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Remove the battery cover and disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly, refer to AIR CLEANER HOUSING for more information.
  3. Remove the throttle cable. See Fig 1.

  4. Disconnect the TPS electrical connector. See Fig 2.

    1 - Throttle Position Sensor
    2 - Idle Air Control Motor
    3 - Fuel Rail
    4 - Connector Fuel Line for Fuel Rails
  5. Remove the throttle body bolts and wiring clips. See Fig 3 and Fig 4.

  6. Remove the throttle body.
