Body & Frame: Windows: Interior/Exterior: DECKLID/Liftgate: Hinge: Installation

  1. Position decklid hinge on vehicle.
  2. Position any shims retrieved during removal between the hinge and the trunk pad. Install bolts attaching hinge to trunk pan and tighten to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  3. Loosely install bolts attaching the hinge to the decklid.
  4. Align the hinge marks made on the decklid.
  5. Tighten the bolts attaching hinge to the decklid to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).
  6. Verify decklid operation and alignment and adjust if necessary. (Refer to BODY/BODY STRUCTURE/GAP AND FLUSH - SPECIFICATIONS) 
  7. Install splash shields.
  8. Install rear wheels and tighten to specified torque. (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS - INSTALLATION) .
