Header Assembly: Installation

NOTE: Make sure the mounting bushings are installed in the header assembly before installing the bolts.
  1. Install the header assembly and install the bolts.
  2. Tighten the rear rail bolts to 18 N.m (13 ft. lbs.).
  3. Tighten the balance link shoulder bolts to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.).
  4. Position the stay pad straps onto the header assembly and install new rivets.
  5. Position the cover assembly onto the back of the header and install new rivets.
  6. Install the both tension cables. (Refer to BODY/CONVERTIBLE TOP/TENSION CABLE - INSTALLATION)
