Link Rod: Installation

WARNING: Never attempt to operate the power liftgate system when the link rod is removed or disconnected. Damage to the power liftgate system will result.

Make sure the retaining clips (1) are seated into the ball socket (2) fully.
Install the support cylinder (2) over the ball studs (3) with the thin end connected to the body and the retaining clips snapping into place.
Perform the power liftgate learn cycle, (Refer to ELECTRICAL/POWER DOORS - STANDARD PROCEDURE - POWER LIFTGATE LEARN CYCLE) .
