Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative cable from battery cable.
  2. Remove air inlet to throttle body hose clamp.
  3. Remove throttle and the speed control (if equipped) cables from lever and bracket.
  4. Disconnect electrical connectors from the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor (TPS). See Figure and Figure.
  5. Remove throttle body to intake manifold attaching bolts.
  6. Remove throttle body and gasket.
