Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description

The 2.4L crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the engine near the accessory drive belt. See Fig 1. The 3.3/3.8L crankshaft sensor is located on the rear of the transmission housing, above the differential housing. See Fig 2. The bottom of the sensor is positioned next to the drive plate.
